60hr Functional Yang Yoga Teacher Training:
What’s Included:
Module three
This unique and innovative Yoga Alliance accredited training is designed to educate practitioners and teachers to lead to a safe, effective and sustainable yoga practice that is inclusive and accessible to all.
In this program we deep dive into the function and biomechanics of Hatha yoga asana and learn how to apply the revolutionary functional yoga principles to any and all styles of dynamic practice.
Designed for those who aspire to practice and teach with clarity, purpose and a greater sense of self-confidence, this specialised programme is designed to improve your anatomical knowledge, refine your ability to analyse movement and provide the tools to skilfully teach individualised yoga, in a 1-2-1 as well as a diverse, group class setting.
In a series of focused asana labs, we will carefully deconstruct and reconstruct 35+ traditional Hatha poses, including all level 1 and 2 standing poses, backbends, arm balances and inversions - exploring how skeletal variations in the shoulder, spine, pelvis and extremities will affect the aesthetical ‘alignment’ for each student. We will critically evaluate standard alignment cues to analyse their effectiveness across a broad range of student bodies, before learning how to communicate the important functional cues that will ensure students are guided safely and effectively into each posture.
Daily practices will provide knowledge and insight into the art and science of sequencing that will offer teachers the necessary skills to support students in their self-inquiry process, empower them to take responsibility for their unique body and give them the key to unlock their physical potential.
Graduates will be provided with the knowledge, tools and practical experience to confidently practice and teach intelligent person-centred yoga asana, across all styles of yoga.
Upon completion, teachers will thrive with clarity, confidence and a renewed sense of purpose in their teaching.
